Chelsea may have to pay a staggering £25m to sign West Ham United left-back Aaron Cresswell in this summer’s transfer window, according to latest reports.
The 25-year-old has had a superb debut season in the Premier League, having settled well following his summer move from Championship side Ipswich Town last year.
This has led to rumoured interest from Chelsea among other clubs, with the Blues keen to bring in a new addition at left-back after some indifferent form from their own summer signing Filipe Luis, who has failed to settle in England after moving to Stamford Bridge from Atletico Madrid.
Cresswell looks like he could be an upgrade in that area, providing more of a challenge to Cesar Azpilicueta for his first-team place, though he certainly won’t come cheap, according to The Sun.
The Hammers do not want to lose one of their best players and will ask for around £25m to let the defender leave Upton Park.
