United manager Louis van Gaal hinted in his post-match press conference on Sunday that he could lose De Gea in the next transfer window after admitting that the keeper has a ‘tough choice to make’ in regards to his future (via BBC Sport).

But Sky Sports‘ Spanish football expert Guillem Balague rejected claims that De Gea has already agreed to sign for Los Blancos and insisted that the goalkeeper could possibly stay at Old Trafford beyond the current campaign.

Valdes, who made his long-awaited debut for the Red Devils in the 1-1 draw with Arsenal at Old Trafford at the weekend, says he is in the dark as to where his international team-mate will end up next season:

“It’s a question you would have to put to David. I cannot answer for him.” The former Barcelona stopper told The Sun.

“Madrid, Barcelona and Manchester United are three of the biggest clubs in the world, everyone in the world wants to play for these clubs.” he added.
