The Red Devils are already well stocked in the attacking midfield department with players like Angel Di Maria, Juan Mata, Ashley Young and new signing Memphis Depay, but it seems Louis van Gaal wants to go even further to create a world class strike force.
Bale has not been at his best in Spain this season and could be tempted to return to the Premier League, having previously shone in England with Tottenham Hotspur, while Ronaldo is said to be unhappy at the Bernabeu due to a lack of trophies.
Ronaldo is still much loved at Old Trafford after a superb first spell at the club, and it may take a combined bid of £157.3m to bring both these players to the club this summer, according to the Metro.
