A defender would no doubt be useful for Arsenal, but they could perhaps aim higher than Espanyol’s Hector Moreno this summer, with Laurent Koscielny, Per Mertesacker, Gabriel and Calum Chambers already decent options for the Gunners in that part of the pitch. Only a Mats Hummels or a Diego Godin type would be a real upgrade worth investing in.
