The Belgian international, one of the most promising young players coming through at Old Trafford, has struggled for playing time this season since the arrival of Louis van Gaal as the club’s manager.

Januzaj had previously become a regular starter under Moyes, with the Scot now keen on a reunion with the player at his new club.

According to the Daily Mirror, the former United boss has already begun personal talks with the 20-year-old over signing him up for next season, though it remains to be seen if the Red Devils will let him leave.

United have already signed Memphis Depay from PSV to add to their attacking midfield options, meaning Januzaj could face an even tougher task in breaking into van Gaal’s starting lineup next term.
