Liverpool fans have reacted in their numbers on social media following the news that unsettled winger Raheem Sterling will not be going on the club’s pre-season tour of the Far East and Australia.
The England international looks set to complete a transfer to Premier League rivals Manchester City in the coming days after various media outlets including Mail Sport have reported that an third offer has been lodged.
The Merseyside outfit have reacted to the bid by withdrawing Sterling from the 30-man squad that was scheduled to depart on Sunday [via BBC Sport] and that has increased speculation that a deal has been agreed between the two clubs.

Sterling’s relationship with the majority of Kop supporters seems to be broken beyond repair following a controversial week in which he twice failed to report for training and informed the club of his decision to leave [via Guardian Sport].
His performances have certainly been affected since his interview with BBC Sport in April and a selection of supporters have taken to Twitter and questioned the money involved for a player who scored just seven league goals last season.
