PSG coach Laurent Blanc has provided an update on Thiago Motta’s situation at the Parc des Princes, amidst rumours of a departure.

The 32-year-old has been heavily linked with a move away from the French champions this summer, with numerous clubs understood to be keen on the midfielder.

Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with the veteran, according to talkSPORT, who may see the Italy international as a viable replacement for the likes of Etienne Capoue, Paulinho and Benjamin Stambouli, all of whom have left White Hart Lane this summer.

Inter Milan have also been tipped to make a move for their former star, with Sky Sports noting that the Nerazzurri are eyeing a move to bring the club hero back to Lombardy.

However, Arsenal have also been linked with a move for the experienced campaigner [Metro], having seen several key targets escape them this summer.

An injury means that William Carvalho won’t be moving to the Emirates Stadium this summer, while Geoffrey Kondogbia and Giannelli Imbula completed moves to Inter Milan [Independent] and FC Porto [London24] respectively.

Another long-term target, Morgan Schneiderlin, moved to Manchester United, despite long having been tipped for a move to the Emirates Stadium [BBC].

Speaking to the press, during PSG’s preseason preparations, Blanc has fuelled transfer speculation by admitting that Motta’s impasse with the capital club has not been resolved.

The coach also apparently took a moment to criticise the ongoing hullaballoo surrounding Motta’s future.
