£23m Man United and Chelsea transfer target and potential Angel Di Maria replacement wants move

Reports in Spain indicate that Barcelona forward Pedro is keen on a move to the Premier League, with Manchester United and Chelsea heavily linked with his signature.

According to Marca [via the Independent], the attacker is desperate for more playing time, having found himself on the peripheries of the Barcelona side last term.

Louis van Gaal’s giants have entered negotiations to sign the forward for £18 million, although they would reportedly be prepared to up their offer to £23 million should Barca begin to play hardball for the player [Independent].

The 27-year-old could prove to be an able replacement for Angel Di Maria.

While there have been emerging complications in the winger’s move to Paris Saint-Germain—notably his contract demands [Daily Mail]—the Argentine wideman is expected to leave Old Trafford for Ligue 1 imminently [Mirror].

Pedro’s versatility and his admirable work rate would surely make him an appealing prospect for both the Red Devils and the Pensioners, who may yet lose the likes of Victor Moses [Stoke Sentinel], Mohamed Salah [ESPN] and Juan Cuadrado [The Guardian] over the coming weeks.
