Man United transfer target and superstar striker talks up ‘surprise’ move

Paris Saint-Germain superstar Zlatan Ibrahimovic has dropped a major hint that he may be set for a high-profile departure from the Parc des Princes this summer, with Manchester United reportedly keen on his services.

Earlier this month, Louis van Gaal revealed that the Red Devils were on the brink of recruiting a new striker, but he held back on identifying the target.

Instead, the coach hinted at a ‘surprise’ signing who would be unveiled at Old Trafford before the end of the transfer window [Sky Sports].

Could Zlatan be that ‘surprise’ addition?

Ex-United goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel certainly thinks so, and has tipped the former Barcelona man to be a success in Manchester [Sky Sports].

The forward may have just indicated that he is set for a high-profile move in discussing his future after scoring in a 2-0 pre-season victory over his potential suitors United.

“Where I go next? It will be a surprise. A very big surprise,” the striker began, as per Sky Sports.

However, despite hinting at a move, the forward also suggested that he may be set to see out the final year of his contract with the Ligue 1 giants.

“I have another year of my contract with PSG. I have enjoyed my time here and I am very happy,” he continued.

“The team is getting better. I think we are a strong team and we can do much more than what we have been doing. So, at the moment, I am very happy.”

However, his days at the club may well be numbered, with AC Milan understood to be keen on bringing the forward back to the San Siro [Independent].
