Former Chelsea star’s HEAD TURNED after £46m Manchester City bid

Wolfsburg director of sport Klaus Allofs has revealed that Kevin De Bruyne has had his head turned by the interest in him, reports talkSPORT.

A £46 million bid from Manchester City for the former Chelsea man has been reported, and the 24-year-old could be set for a return to the Premier League. The Belgium international could even lay for the Citizens in their match against the Stamford Bridge outfit on August 16.

“I think some other clubs have definitely turned Kevin’s head,” Allofs told Kicker magazine, “Some huge figures are doing the rounds and I can understand why Kevin is leaving everything open.

“He’s got to listen to the offers. I can’t expect from him that he doesn’t even want to entertain them.”

The midfielder has come to the attention of the Sky Blues after an amazing season for the Bundesliga outfit. During the last campaign he scored ten goals and assisted another 20 in 34 games in the German top flight. This is after Chelsea allowed him to leave for around €20 million 18 months ago [The Guardian].

Jose Mourinho may come to regret this, having suffered from a lack of creativity when Cesc Fabregas lost form last time round. If the Premier League champions fail to defend their crown due to a lack of service to Diego Costa then there will be serious questions asked about their transfer policy.
