If you had money on Man City to annihilate West Ham United on Saturday afternoon, you might want to reconsider – because David Silva is OUT.
Shortly before the teams returned to the locker rooms for pre-match introductions, Silva was injured during a warmup and has been pulled from the match.

Taking Silva’s place is Jesus Navas, the former Sevilla winger who offers more of a direct, wide threat on the flank. The Citizens added 18-year-old Patrick Roberts to the bench as a last-minute sub.

Silva has been on an absolute tear in the Premier League this season and has been making a solid case for Premier League Player of the Season despite scoring just once.
His dominance at the midfield has led Man City to a perfect five-game winning start and a commanding lead on the table.
It remains to be seen whether Navas can replace the mesmerising impact of his compatriot.
