New Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp already eyes first signing by pouncing for Brazilian Serie A star

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is apparently wasting no time in making a move for his first signing since taking over on Thursday night by enquiring into the availability of Napoli star Jorginho, according to the Metro.

A report in Italian publication Gazzetta Dello Sport claims that the new Reds boss is planning an overhaul of his newly inherited squad and has already identified Jorginho as a possible new arrival.

The report states that Liverpool, along with Premier League rivals Southampton, have already made an early enquiry into his services.

Much like Liverpool’s Lucas Leiva, Jorginho has forced his way back into Napoli’s first-team after some impressive performances.

The Metro states that it will likely cost any interested parties between £14.8million and £22.2million to prize him away from the San Paolo as he still has three years left to run on his current deal.
