Posted by

Liverpool finally got their Europa League campaign on its way with a victory thanks to some dogged defending and a wonder strike from Jordon Ibe.

In beating Rubin, Jurgen Klopp’s men have become the first side to avoid defeat there and now find themselves in second place with a crucial clash against leaders Bordeaux to come.

But how did the players perform? Find out below…

Simon Mignolet

6/10

Had little to do in the first half, but was solid in the second, despite not truly being tested when the pressure was on.

Nathaniel Clyne

7/10

A bundle of energy on the right that made good movements early on.

Dejan Lovren

6/10

Defended well, but gave away a free kick in a dangerous area later in the game. Booked.

Mamadou Sakho

7/10

Led by example at the back and made sure Liverpool’s defence remained in tact.

Alberto Moreno

6/10

Started well, but had a quieter game than usual.
