Man United eye January move for Newcastle forward Ayoze Perez

Manchester United have reportedly identified classy Newcastle United forward Ayoze Perez as a possible target for the January transfer window, according to the Metro.

Perez has been one of Newcastle’s more consistent performers since arriving from Tenerife in 2014, scoring 10 goals in 46 appearances for the club to date (via Metro).

The Spaniard bagged the winner during this weekend’s 1-0 victory over Bournemouth – a result which lifted The Magpies out of the relegation zone (via Metro).

However, a report in The Chronicle claims that the club may struggle to keep hold of him in the new year as The Red Devils have made him a target.

The Metro claim that Man United have compiled a dossier on him and are increasingly keen on making an offer for him once the transfer window re-opens.

Liverpool are also linked with a move for Perez (via Chronicle) but it is uncertain whether new manager Jurgen Klopp is still interested in making an offer or whether he has his own targets in mind.
