News broke on Monday that David Moyes had been sacked by Real Sociedad following a string of poor results.
The Scottish coach leaves La Real sitting 18th in the Spanish top flight, having won only two and losing six of their opening 11 matches.
While Moyes’s reputation may be at a low following his failings in Spain and his high-profile struggles at Manchester United, but he surely has enough experience and clout to make a difference to a Premier League side needing a new face and a fresh impetus.
