Arsenal player ratings: Shocking Arteta slated in 2-1 defeat to West Brom

Posted by

It’s not been the greatest of afternoons for Arsenal. Having watched Manchester United clinch all three points in the dying seconds of their clash with Watford earlier this afternoon, they have now had to watch Leicester City climb above them to the summit of the Premier League table.

Arsene Wenger’s men had their chance to keep up the pace, but thanks to a series of unfortunate events they were left to rue some missed chances.

Petr Cech – 6/10

Got mugged off by Arteta for the own goal, and could do little about the other. Not his finest afternoon.

Hector Bellerin – 5/10

Didn’t look to be anywhere near his best. Could have done with another week out.

Per Mertesacker – 6/10

Had his hands full with Rondon, but stood up to the challenge well for the most part.

Laurent Koscelny – 6/10

Played well given that he was a doubt before the kick off.

Nacho Monreal – 5/10

Started brightly but faded quickly.
