Tottenham Hotspur predicted XI vs Chelsea: Lamela out as Spurs hope to continue unbeaten run

Posted by

Tottenham Hotspur are currently on a tremendous 12-game unbeaten run in the Premier League and hope to continue their loss-less ways against Chelsea this Sunday.

Harry Kane is back to his 2014-15 form, scoring seven times in the last four matches. But his team will likely be without star MF Erik Lamela, who could very well miss the game with an injury. Nonetheless, Kane is more than capable of leading this team on his own, and he has a solid cast of midfielders to feed him the ball.

Here is the Tottenham Hotspur predicted XI vs Chelsea for this Sunday:

GK Hugo Lloris

Lloris has only allowed more than a single goal in a match twice this year – neither of which have come in the Spurs last five matches or six home games.

DF Vertonghen

Vertonghen has started all 13 games for Tottenham this season. He’ll make it 14 tomorrow.

DF Danny Rose

No surprise to see Rose back in the starting XI

DF Toby Alderweireld

Alderweireld has been on cloud nine ever since his goal against West Ham United last week.

DF Kyle Walker

Walker has made all of his starts for Tottenham in the Premier League and scored a rare goal for the team last week.

MF Mousa Dembele

Dembele scored goals in back-to-back weeks between Bournemouth and Aston Villa.

MF Eric Dier

Dier hasn’t scored in the Premier League since September and has yet to record an assist.

MF Son Heung-min

Son has been absolutely invaluable to Tottenham this season – moreso in the Europa League.

MF Christian Eriksen

Already with five assists on the year, Eriksen is making an argument as one of the best scoring opportunity creators in the Premier League.

MF Ryan Mason

Mason has big shoes to fill with Lamela out, but he should be up to the task.

FW Harry Kane

If Kane scores against Chelsea it’ll be five games in a row with a goal. From there, look out Jamie Vardy!
