Man United boss urged to sign Jamie Vardy

Manchester United have scored 20 Premier League goals so far this season. That’s just six more than Leicester City star Jamie Vardy has managed all by himself.

Four of United’s last eight games have ended 0-0, while Vardy has hit the net in 11 consecutive matches.

United arguably need a new striker, while there is a strong case to suggest that Vardy has done enough to earn a big-money move at the age of 28.

So, to many people – but not everyone – Vardy to Old Trafford makes perfect sense.

One individual who reckons United boss Louis van Gaal should splash out on Leicester’s main man is former Foxes captain Robbie Savage.

BBC pundit Savage, who began his career at United, told 5Live Sport: “If I was Manchester United I would buy Vardy. He would offer pace.”

Savage did not make a single first-team appearance for United, before leaving Old Trafford in July 1994. He had five seasons at Leicester.
