Barcelona coach Luis Enrique desperate to sign Liverpool’s Philippe Coutinho ‘at any cost’

Barcelona head coach Luis Enrique is apparently gearing up to sign star Liverpool playmaker Philippe Coutinho when the transfer window re-opens in the new year, according to French publication Buzzsport.

The Brazilian international has been consistently billed as one of Liverpool’s best players since his arrival at the club back in 2013, and his performances have not gone unnoticed by Enrique, who is keen to add him to his current crop of stars.

However, Liverpool are not interested in letting him go, and will fight hard to ensure the player himself resists the lure of the Nou Camp.

The news will be most unwelcome for the club’s fans, too, as they recently saw star striker Luis Suarez swap Merseyside for Catalonia before failing to prevent Raheem Sterling for joining Manchester City this summer.
