A report in The Sun this morning claimed that Manchester United would have to spend up to £62.5m if they wanted to sign Senegalese forward Sadio Mane from Premier League rivals Southampton.

The Sun explained that Mane would cost a transfer fee of £30m from the Saints, and would demand a five-year deal worth £125,000 per week as his price for refreshing United’s struggling strike force.

James Rodriguez

Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale may be United’s dream buys, according to the Daily Mail, but James is a more realistic target, having fallen out with Rafael Benitez at Real Madrid, the Daily Mail reports.

Edinson Cavani

There is nothing that the Red Devils need more than a world-class striker. According to the Daily Star, Uruguay hitman Cavani has previously been keen on a move to United from Paris Saint-Germain.

Robert Lewandowski

If a prolific No.9 is what you need, then look no further than Lewandowski. He has 29 goals in 30 games for Bayern Munich and Poland this season and has been linked to United by Bild, via The Mirror.

Antoine Griezmann

The France international has taken his game up several levels since joining Atletico Madrid, where he has scored 38 goals in 78 games. Spanish outlet Fichajes claims that he has a £57.8m release clause.

Harry Kane

United could stay within the Premier League and find a better option than Mane. Tottenham Hotspur hero Harry Kane is firmly on their radar, according to The Express, and Spurs always have a price.
