Man United preparing to pay £62.5m for EPL striker with eye-watering demands

Manchester United‘s hopes of signing Southampton forward Sadio Mane have been dealt a blow with the news that his signing would cost the Red Devils £62.5 million.

According to The Sun, this is the fee United would need to part with in order to bring the Senegal hitman to Old Trafford.

The fee includes a £30 million transfer fee, while the player himself is understood to want an eye-watering £125,000-per-week to move to Old Trafford, and for Louis van Gaal to offer him a five-year deal.

Ultimately, while Mane’s demands appear conflated for a player who has scored three goals in 20 appearances so far, United’s desperation may prompt them to pay out for an explosive and unpredictable player who would likely improve the Devils’ miserable offensive performances.

The tabloid note that under-pressure van Gaal is looking to complement the addition of Mane by signing Lazio attacker Felipe Anderson, a double-signing that would completely transform the Dutch manager’s offensive line.
