Arsenal look to follow up Elneney signing with move for Real Madrid starlet

Arsenal will reported attempt to follow up the signing of Mohamed Elneny with a move for young Real Madrid forward Borja Mayoral after learning of a contract dispute between the player and his club, according reports in Spain.

The 18-year-old is highly rated in the Spanish capital, and is expected to make headway into the first team over the next few years, but according to the report he wants to be on the same money as Norwegian wonder kid Martin Odegaard.

Real aren’t thought to be keen on paying him those kind of wages just yet, meaning the two have reached an impasse in negotiations. But arsenal are waiting in the wings to pay the youngster the kind of money he wants in order to tempt him to jump ship and head for London.

Mayoral has so far only made one appearance in Real’s first team this season, but is known for having a tremendous scoring record for the club’s youth teams and with Spain’s Under-19s.
