Oops! Adidas deliver Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech’s gloves to Chelsea

Considering Petr Cech is one of Adidas’ staple athletes, you’d think that they would be up to date with his career.

However, the sportswear giants dropped the ball this week (pun intended) when he ordered a new pair of gloves and they accidentally delivered them to his former club Chelsea’s training base in Surrey, the Daily Star reports.

The 33-year-old enjoyed 11 successful years at Stamford Bridge, but Adidas clearly forgot about his £10million switch across the city to Arsenal over the summer.

“The glove manufacturers obviously still think of Petr Cech as part of the furniture at Chelsea. It’s strange to think of him at another club,” a Chelsea source said.

Cech is now looking to become the first player to follow in Eric Cantona’s footsteps by winning back-to-back league titles with different clubs (via Star) and will carry on against his former club this weekend.
