Man United keen to seal move for £20m-rated international full-back this month

Manchester United are said to be hopeful of pushing through a deal to sign talented Wolfsburg full-back Ricardo Rodriguez before the end of the January transfer window, according to The Sun.

The Swiss international has been in fine form for the Bundesliga outfit again this season, and has attracted attention from the likes of United and Real Madrid.

Rodriguez currently has a £27million release clause installed in his contract, but the Red Devils are hopeful that they can prize him away for a fee closer to the region of £20m.

The 23-year-old was a part of the Wolfsburg squad that helped knock United out of the Champions League earlier this term and given the injury crisis currently keeping the likes of Luke Shaw, Marcos Rojo and Ashley Young on the sidelines, the club could look to push a move through sooner rather than later.
