Stoke City have not won a game at Anfield in decades – 36 straight games in all competitions without a win – but on one of the biggest stages in one of the biggest games in club history, the Potters may be about to punch their ticket to Wembeley thanks to a late first-half goal by Marko Arnautovic against Liverpool in the Capital One Cup semi-finals.
The Reds were begging for an off-sides flag (Which in hindsight they should have gotten) as Arnautovic pulled well in front of the flat-footed defenders to receive a pass from Bojan that he sent past Simon Mignolet to take the 1-0 halftime lead.

Liverpool in all likelihood cannot afford to give up a second goal to Stoke because even if they manage to score a goal of their own, Stoke City to advance on away goals. If the score holds, however, Liverpool will get a chance at redemption in extra time or penalty kicks.
