Inter plan free transfer spree including Chelsea and Liverpool targets

Inter boss Roberto Mancini is reportedly lining up a whole host of free transfer signings in the summer including PSG star Ezequiel Lavezzi and Juventus defender Martin Caceres.

Along with Valencia’s Ever Banega and Caner Erkin of Fenerbahce, the Nerazzurri are eyeing a real push to strengthen their squad in the summer with all four players out of contract, as noted by Football Italia.

While Inter have also been linked with January swoops for some of those individuals named above, it remains to be seen whether or not any deals can be struck ahead of the deadline. If not, the Italian giants are expected to get deals in place over the course of the next few months.

Meanwhile, the club have already been busy this week with the signing Sampdoria striker Eder, as Mancini looks to arrest their current slide which has seen them not only slip off the pace in the race for the Scudetto, but also out of the Champions League qualification spots.

It got even worse for the Italian tactician on Wednesday night as his side fell to a 3-0 loss to bitter rivals Juventus in the first leg of their Coppa Italia semi-final clash, and so additions will be a welcome boost in the summer, provided that he lasts that long.

Meanwhile, news of Inter’s plans could be a blow for Chelsea and Liverpool respectively with the Blues interested in signing Lavezzi, according to the Evening Standard while their Premier League rivals have held an interest in the Uruguayan defender as reported by the Metro.
