Chelsea boss Guus Hiddink has confirmed that the club will be signing Brazilian striker Alexandre Pato on loan for the rest of the season, the Metro reports.
Rumours have been gathering pace over the 26-year-old’s future with many outlets claiming that he will be heading to Stamford Bridge this month.
And at his weekly press conference, the Dutchman has revealed that the deal is set to be completed after admitting that errant paperwork is what held the deal up for so long.
“He is in London. He is now in the process of bureaucratic paperwork,” said Hiddink.
“It’s not a gamble. Loan makes it possible to have a good view on him, whether he is able to adapt to the high demands.”
And when the move is finally announced, the Brazil international could be in line to make his debut against Watford in the Premier League next weekend.
