Liverpool get transfer boost for £22.5m attacker as manager says he’s ready for ‘top club’ move

Anderlecht attacking midfielder Dennis Praet has been a star in the Belgian Pro League since he was a teenager. His ceiling his deemed so high by some that Liverpool scouted him for a transfer move. With the position at a premium, Praet could be ready to cash in and his manager for the Belgium Under-21 team seems to agree.

According to the Metro, Belgium Under-21 manager Enzo Scifo is claiming that Praet is ready to move to a ‘top club’.

‘About Praet, I can say he is ready to embark on an adventure with a top club,’ said.

Jacques Lichtenstein, Praet’s agent, said his client has nothing more to gain by spending another season in Belgium when greener pastures await.

‘What can he gain by spending one more season at Anderlecht?’ Lichtenstein said.

‘He has already played for three years and has contributed to three back-to-back league titles.’

Per the source, Liverpool are readying a £22.5 million bid for the 21-year-old winger.

Praet has 16 goals in 118 Belgian Pro League appearances. He also has 18 appearances and two goals in the Champions League – his first coming when he was only a teenager.
