Jurgen Klopp is just a few months away from his first summer transfer window with complete control of the Liverpool roster. Liverpool fans have every right to be excited over the prospect, and some of the latest names to appear on Klopp’s transfer list will likely make mouths water.
According to the Daily Star, Leicester City left back Ben Chilwell and Lorient defender Raphael Guerreiro have been targeted by Liverpool and are among Jurgen Klopp’s top transfer targets this summer. Both players have been linked to Arsenal – Chilwell was almost traded in January and the £5m-rated Guerreiro has also been a target for Arsene Wenger.
Per the source, Guerreiro has about 16 months remaining on his contract with the Ligue 1 outfit but the club may choose to trade him rather than let his contract run out of they can’t reach a new deal.
Liverpool’s depth on defence has been questioned lately as the Reds were clobbered in the second half by Southampton in a 3-2 loss.
