Video: Terrible goal kick between Hart and Fernando lets PSG equalize against Man City

Give Zlatan an inch and he’ll take a mile – that’s a lesson Fernando failed to remember in what should have been a simple goal kick exchange between the Man City midfielder and stopper Joe Hart.

During Man City’s Champions League match with PSG, the Citizens took an early 1-0 lead. Several minutes later Fernando received a short goal kick from Hart but did not realize that Zlatan was right next to him. As the Brazilian toiled in the box, Zlatan zipped in and kicked the ball away from Fernando – right past the flat-footed Hart and into the goal to tie the game 1-1.

The Citizens ended up conceding a second goal to pile the misery onto Fernando and manager Manuel Pellegrini. Luckily, Fernandinho came to the rescue and scored an equalizer of his own in the last 15 minutes to give Man City a 2-2 tie and two crucial away goals heading into the second-leg at Etihad Stadium.
