Video: West Ham 3-1 Watford – Andy Carroll bags his fifth in three games

Where has THIS Andy Carroll been all season? Over the past month the West Ham United striker has been even more dominant than his star teammate Dimitri Payet, smashing in five goals over the span of three weeks against the likes of Arsenal, Leicester City and now Watford – with the latter goal jumpstarting a three-goal effort at Boleyn Ground on Wednesday.

It took almost no time at all for Payet and Carroll to make mincemeat of the Watford backsfield, with Payet hitting a cross to Carroll that he finished perfectly for a goal after less than 15 minutes into the match.

Following Carroll’s goal – his third straight game with a score and sixth in his last five BPL games – the former Liverpool man watched with delight as teammate Mark Noble tacked on a brace thanks to a pair of penalty kicks before half and shortly after the start of the second half.

The 3-1 win for West Ham kept them well within striking distance of the Champions League should Man City, Arsenal and Man United slip up in the final month of the season. Well played Mr. Carroll.
