Man United & Chelsea unsure over 30-goal forward’s suitability for Premier League – what MADNESS!

Alexandre Pato, Baba Rahman, Papy Djilobodji, Marcos Rojo, Memphis Depay, Radamel Falcao. These are some of the players that Manchester United and Chelsea have deemed worth signing in the last year.

But now both clubs have concerns over the potential signing of Antoine Griezmann? Give me a break!

The Daily Mail reports that the Premier League giants are interested in buying the Atletico Madrid attacker this summer, but fear that he may not be suited to the physicality of England’s top flight.

The France international has scored 30 goals for club and country this season, dragging Atletico to the semi-finals of the Champions League, and level on points with Barcelona at the top of the La Liga table.

He scored the winning goal in Atletico’s derby victory over Real Madrid in February, and both in their superb 2-0 second-leg win over Barcelona in the Champions League last eight. He is the real deal.

Either Chelsea, 10th in the Premier League remember, or United, in danger of missing out on a seat at Europe’s top table for next term, would be incredibly lucky to have a player of Griezmann’s class.

They would have to pay big to get him, though. The Daily Mail understands that it would take a fee close to the British transfer record of £59.7m to persuade Atletico to reluctantly sell their star player.

Griezmann is said to be contemplating a move away from Spain. Anybody who suspects that he is not ready to test himself in the Premier League is underrating just how good a player the 25-year-old is.
