Video: Sergio Aguero shows what is possible when Manchester City actually give him the ball…

Sergio Aguero was determined to make up for lost time when Arsenal visited the Etihad Stadium today.

The deadly Argentine striker barely had a kick in Tuesday’s desperately disappointing Champions League semi-final defeat to Real Madrid, as he was starved of service in City’s lacklustre display.

It took him only eight minutes to show Arsenal what he is capable of when his teammates actually give him the ball, as he finished expertly into the bottom corner, with a volley on his weaker left foot.

This is Aguero’s 24th Premier League goal of the season, taking him level with Leicester City hero Jamie Vardy in the scoring charts, and one behind Tottenham Hotspur’s leading marksman Harry Kane.

Aguero has scored his goals in nine fewer games than Kane and seven fewer than Vardy. He has found the net in each of his last six league matches. Real Madrid got away scot-free, that is for sure.
