Arsenal transfer news: Agent hints at blockbuster move for top-class poacher

Has Mohamed Elneny’s agent just hinted at a blockbuster Arsenal transfer?

A simple one-worded tweet from Alan Nazmy, who helped engineer the Egyptian midfielder’s switch to the Emirates Stadium last January, has got Gooners supporters speculating!

Could this be an indication that Arsenal are about to make a move for former Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez, who of course is nicknamed Chicharito – Mexican for ‘the little pea’.

Reports in February of this year linked Hernandez, who left Old Trafford for Bayer Leverkusen last summer, with a return to the Premier League to play under Arsene Wenger.

And it could be that the Londoners have switched their attention to the 28-year-old poacher after alternative target Jamie Vardy allegedly opted to stay with champions Leicester City.

Hernandez is a proven Premier League performer – he scored 37 goals in only 49 starts for United – and, after a quiet couple of seasons, showed that he can still be prolific at Leverkusen last term.

The South American bagged 26 in 40 games in his debut season for the German outfit, where he is under contract until 2018. That return took his career tally to an impressive 92 in 134 starts.
