Jose Mourinho all set to snap up next Manchester United signing this weekend

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho’s rebuild at the club is swinging into full effect as Henrikh Mkhitaryan is set to complete his move to Old Trafford this weekend.

United unveiled Zlatan Ibrahimovic on Friday, as the Swede becomes Mourinho’s second major summer signing after the arrival of Eric Bailly last month.

As the Portuguese tactician looks to continue to stamp his mark on his new squad, The Daily Mail have reported that Mkhitaryan is on the verge of moving to Manchester and is expected to see the deal concluded this weekend.

It is claimed that a private jet arrived from Dortmund at Manchester Airport on Friday afternoon, although neither club confirmed that the 27-year-old was on board.

A transfer fee is yet to be agreed between the two clubs, but it is said that it shouldn’t take too much for them to reach an agreement in the coming days, while personal terms shouldn’t be an issue as Mkhitaryan is keen on making the switch to Old Trafford.

The Armenian international has one year remaining on his deal with Dortmund, and so the Bundesliga outfit have been keen to find a solution in order to avoid losing him for nothing next summer.

Their loss though will be seen as United’s gain, with Mkhitaryan proving to be one of the most creative and clinical players in the final third last season with a staggering number of goals and assists for an attacking midfielder.

He’ll hope to take that level of form with him to Manchester next season, provided that he completes his move, and it should be another exciting addition for Mourinho who is clearly prioritising adding some flair, creativity and excitement to his new team with more new faces expected between now and the start of the new season.
