Leicester propose swap with Juventus for star midfielders

Leicester City appear to have come to grips with the fact that they are going to lose N’Golo Kante this summer. But if they are going to lose him, they plan to get exactly what they want in return.

According to Sun Sport, Leicester City have told Juventus that they will offer star center midfielder Kante in exchange for 22-year-old midfielder Mario Lemina. Per the source, the Premier League champions have resigned themselves to the fact that they cannot keep Kante.

The 25-year-old French midfielder joined Leicester in a transfer from Caen last season for £5.6 million and immediately proved to be one of the biggest steals of the season. He earned PFA Team of the Year honors and was one of the key supporting players in Leicester’s Premier League title win.

Last season Lemina scored twice for Marseille in 22 appearances and earned significant reps for the Ligue 1 giants in the Champions League.

Though he helped the France Under-20 team win the FIFA U-20 World Cup in 2013, Lemina decided to represent his native Gabon, and scored a goal against Tunisia this past October in his first action for the team.

The Sun Sport report added that Kante will make a decision about his football future at the end of France’s Euro 2016 campaign. He will be suspended for Sunday’s match against Iceland due to yellow card accumulation.
