Serie A giants offering Man United flop an escape

The transition from Dutch football to English football proved rather difficult for Manchester United attacker Memphis Depay, but he could have a potential life-preserver thrown to him in a different league that may be a little more suited to his skill set.

According to the Metro, Juventus have expressed interest in the 22-year-old Netherlands winger. Per the source, Man United manager Jose Mourinho may move Depay while he reworks the roster this summer.

Juventus have already lost star striker Alvaro Morata in a buy-back by Real Madrid, and could very well lose several other offensive stars before the summer is over.

Depay was a highly-touted transfer target in 2015 after scoring 22 goals in Eredivisie for PSV Eindhoven, but he had a difficult time fitting into the starting lineup under Louis van Gaal. He ended up making 16 Premier League starts and scored only two league goals.

Man United most likely will not need Depay much anymore with Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan recently signed and youngsters Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford taking even further reps away from the Dutch superstar.
