Man United international attracting interest from Spain; both a loan & permanent deal a possibility

Manchester United defender Marcos Rojo is reportedly attracting interest from Villarreal.

The Mirror understands that the Argentine defender may be sold this summer following the arrival of Jose Mourinho, who has brought in Eric Bailly from Villarreal to bolster his back four.

And now the Yellow Submarine could now be looking to Old Trafford for Bailly’s replacement.

According to The Mirror, they have been tracking the versatile Rojo, who has made 54 appearances in two seasons for the Red Devils but never really cemented a place at centre-back or left-back.

And Luke Shaw’s return to fitness and the emergence of youngsters such as Cameron Borthwick-Jackson and Timothy Fosu-Mensah might mean that Rojo’s role at United is only going to suffer.

United paid £16m for the South American in 2014 – fee reported by BBC Sport. The Mirror claims that Villarreal would propose a loan move if United tried to hold out for that much cash for a transfer.
