Napoli confirmed the signing of Ajax forward Arkadiusz Milik on Monday evening, a deal which could set in motion Bertrand Traore’s exit from Chelsea.

According to The Sun, Dutch giants Ajax have been eyeing up the Burkina Faso wonderkid and have been considering the possibility of a move should Milik leave.

The Poland international’s anticipated departure was confirmed on Monday by Partenopei chief Aurelio De Laurentiis, as he moves to Napoli where he will be charged with replacing Juventus new boy Gonzalo Higuain.

Milik had previously been linked to both Leicester and Everton.

As a result, Chelsea should brace themselves for an approach from Ajax for West African youngster Traore.

The 20-year-old—who has featured everywhere from left-back to attacking midfield and can also feature as a striker—scored 17 times on loan at Vitesse Arnhem in the 2014-15 campaign.

However, it remains to be seen whether Traore has a role to play at Stamford Bridge under new boss Antonio Conte, and is understood to be keen to move to a club where he can play week in, week out.
