Real Madrid have opened informal negotiations with Argentina side Racing Club Avellaneda about the possible transfer of wonderkid Lautaro Martinez according to the club president.

Speaking on Radio Belgrano, as per local newspaper Ole, Victor Blanco has confirmed that Real are keen on the 18-year-old and that the two clubs have begun to discuss the possibility of a switch.

“We have had informal talks with people from Real,” Blanco began. “We aren’t ruling out giving him to them on loan, but with a high option to buy.”

According to the report, Martinez would likely join Real’s Castilla team.

Should the teenager move to the Bernabeu, he would follow a long tradition of Argentine players looking to make their name with the Blancos.
