England players respond to Slovakia victory on social media

England beat Slovakia 1-0 in their opening World Cup qualification game at the City Arena Trnava thanks to a last minute goal from Adam Lallana.

The game was tied going into the fourth minute of additional time until Lallana found a last-gasp winner.

In case you missed it, here is the goal that won the match.

We took a look at how the England international team responded to the victory.

Chelsea defender Gary Cahill underlined the general conclusion him and his teammates made after the game that ‘patience paid off’.

Was is patience or a bit of luck that saw England gain all three points?

Rooney made history becoming the most capped out-field England international.

Kane meanwhile decided to thank the fans and posted three lion emoji’s.

Kane’s Tottenham teamamte Eric Dier had a very similar tweet. So similar in fact it left us wondering whether they have the same social media manager! Or was it all just a coincidence?
