(Photo) John Terry posts update on ankle injury: Chelsea ace not happy as Liverpool showdown edges closer

Chelsea defender John Terry looks as though he will miss Friday’s encounter with Liverpool after posting an update on his ankle.

The 35-year-old posted an image of his ankle still wrapped up on Instagram stories on Monday morning, and it came with three ‘angry face emojis’ as he evidently isn’t happy with how the injury is healing.

Terry left the Liberty Stadium on crutches after his side’s 2-2 draw with Swansea City on Sunday, and in turn it was immediately suggested that his participation against Liverpool was in doubt.

The latest update doesn’t paint a very positive picture about his chances of facing Jurgen Klopp’s men, and that will undoubtedly be a major blow to Antonio Conte if he doesn’t recover in time as the Italian tactician will be forced into an unwanted reshuffle of his backline.

While the ankle certainly looks less swollen than it did in the video shared by the former England international on Instagram on Sunday night, it still doesn’t look great in terms of his chances of maintaining his run of starting every game so far this season.

Some late night work trying to get the swelling down??
