Club Brugge v Leicester City: Confirmed Starting Line-ups – Slimani to make debut

Leicester City take on Club Brugge in their first ever Champions League group stage clash.

The Foxes summer signing Slimani will make his club debut against the Belgium giants and Claudio Ranieri has also picked Jamie Vardy and Mahrez in a full strength squad.

The 28-year-old Algeria international striker joined Leicester from Sporting Lisbon in a £29m deal on the final day of the transfer window.

Defender, Danny Simpson did not make the squad after suffering a hamstring injury on Saturday during the 4-1 defeat against Liverpool in the Premier League.

The Foxes will also be without Jeff Schlupp who has a muscle strain and Nampalys Mendy is also out with an ankle injury he suffered against Arsenal last month.

Shinji Okazaki – who featured over the weekend – has been left out of the match day squad.

Brugge meanwhile are participating part in their first Champions League group game for a decade.
