David Luiz, happy-go-lucky Chelsea centre-back, is enjoying a sunny day at Chelsea’s training ground in Surrey. Taking time out of Chelsea rigorous defensive drills, which mainly involve practicing risky passes across the face of their own goal under pressure, the Brazilian took this photo of some of the local flora.
What appears to be a rather nondescript photo of a tree, could also be read as a subconcious critique of his centre-back partner Gary Cahill, whose shocking recent performances have left Chelsea manager Antonio Conte under serious pressure. While the connection is surely unintentional, there are undoubted similarities between the gigantic static wooden lump rooted to the ground and the lovely oak tree in the photo.
