Chelsea ace Willian posts heartfelt message to thank his teammates and fans

Chelsea playmaker Willian took to Instagram on Saturday night to thank everyone for their support after going through a difficult time this week.

The Brazilian international was given compassionate leave and was absent for this weekend’s clash with Leicester City following the death of his mother.

Teammates Diego Costa and Eden Hazard paid tribute to him during the win over the Foxes with their celebrations after scoring, while Willian would have undoubtedly received a great deal of support from fans on social media and family.

“I want to thank affectionately to all my family, friends and fans who have expressed their sympathy and condolences for my great loss. By gestures and words of comfort, and for the affection and attention that had me and my family. God bless you all!” he noted, as seen in the post below.

Chelsea will likely give him as much time as he requires to deal with his loss, but despite their 3-0 win on Saturday, the Brazilian ace will undoubtedly be welcomed back to action having scored twice in six outings so far this season.
