Chelsea confirmed line-up vs Southampton: Consistency key for Conte with Terry still on bench

Chelsea face a tough trip to Southampton on Sunday as Antonio Conte hopes his side can maintain their impressive recent form against the Saints.

The Italian tactician has seen his side pick up three consecutive wins in the Premier League along with three clean sheets in a row, although they did suffer a setback against West Ham United in the EFL Cup.

Nevertheless, he’ll be hoping that they can get back to winning ways this weekend, but will face a tough task against Claude Puel’s side who have been in good form having gone on a five-game unbeaten run.

Having now settled on his 3-4-3 system, Conte will be hoping for a strong showing from his players at St Mary’s, as he continues to receive plenty of praise for the way in which he has addressed certain issues with his side.

However, he will face a difficult assignment against Puel’s men and in turn he will hope his players can step up and deliver to close the gap on their rivals at the top of the table.
