The good times are rolling for Manchester United attacker Jesse Lingard, as his progress is about to rewarded both inside and out of the club.

With two goals and two assists in nine appearances for United so far this season coupled with a senior England debut, it’s been a positive start to the campaign for the 23-year-old.

So much so that according to The Daily Mail, he is set to be rewarded with a new four-year contract that will see him double his current £30,000-a-week salary at Old Trafford.

With just 18 months remaining on his existing deal, it was undoubtedly a priority for United to get a new agreement in place sooner rather than later and it’s expected to be officially confirmed in the coming days.

That isn’t where the good news ends for Lingard either, as it’s added in the report that he will renegotiate his sponsorship package with Adidas, with the Mail tipping him to pen terms on a deal worth a seven-figure sum.

As one of the more prominent homegrown talents in the United squad, coupled with his recent emergence for England under Gareth Southgate, the future is undoubtedly looking positive for him.

However, with the new deals comes additional pressure to produce, and it remains to be seen how he deals with that as he will have to continue to fight off fierce competition for places at United to ensure that he remains a pivotal part of Jose Mourinho’s plans.
