Arsenal star playmaker Mesut Ozil is the only ‘world-class’ player in this weekend’s north London derby according to Robbie Savage.

The former Wales international used his column in the Mirror to state that the Gunners are firm favourites to win the game and that they posses the best player on the field.

Savage also heaped praise on Ozil’s partner in crime Alexis Sanchez who has also been in impressive form this season.

“Mesut Ozil will be the only world-class outfield player on the pitch in Sunday’s North London derby,” Savage told the Mirror.

“You don’t have to win the World Cup to be a world-class player – but it helps. And Ozil has looked the real deal this season.

“He was already English football’s king of assists, and that hasn’t changed, but the German midfielder has added seven goals to the pot this term, including that sensational finish against Ludogorets in midweek.”

Ozil and Sanchez have been in impressive form for the Gunners and have lead Arsenal to joint top of the Premier League with 23 points after ten games.

The former Real Madrid man has provided three assists and scored seven goals in 13 appearances this term while Sanchez has provided seven assists and scored eight goals in 14 games this season.

Sanchez also won the Copa America with Chile over the summer while Ozil lead Germany to the semi-finals of Euro 2016.
