Leicester to beat Chelsea to midfield signing who “runs and runs”

Leicester City may have faded hard as Champions, but that hasn’t stopped them competing with other top clubs for signings since their Premier League victory.

The Foxes have been recruiting players of a much higher standard since showing the league what they can do last season, and that trend has continued this term, with the reigning champions today reportedly all but sealing a deal for midfielder Wilfred Ndidi.

The hard-working midfielder had previously been linked with Chelsea, so the deal will be something of a coup if it goes through. Blues fans shouldn’t worry though – their team are still being linked with central midfielders, and they will certainly need reinforcements should either Cesc Fabregas or Job Obi Mikel go in January.

According to Belgian journalist Kristof Terreur, the deal to Leicester is almost complete, and the Genk player will add a huge amount of running to Leicester’s midfield which has lacked energy since N’Golo Kante’s move to, you guessed it, Chelsea.
