Chelsea 3-0 Bournemouth player ratings: Eden Hazard stars with a 9 while Pedro continues purple patch and gets an 8

Chelsea made it 12 consecutive victories in the Premier League after defeating Bournemouth 3-0.

Chelsea took the lead through Pedro. The Spaniard picked the ball up on the edge of the penalty area and curled it beyond the helpless Artur Boruc from the edge of the penalty area. It was his fourth Premier League goal of the season, and he has five assists to go with that. His resurgence under the stewardship of Antonio Conte has been remarkable. You can see his stunning goal here.

Eden Hazard then doubled the Blues’ lead from the penalty spot. He fell under the challenge of Simon Francis after some good footwork. The Belgian made no mistake and bagged his ninth goal of the season. It was also his 50th of his Premier League career, we imagine there will be plenty more to come. You can watch Hazard’s landmark goal here.

Pedro then scored his second of the game to round off an emphatic win for Chelsea. His shot from the edge of the penalty area was heavily deflected and wrong-footed Boruc to find it’s way into the back of the net.

Here are our player ratings for both sides:

Chelsea player ratings: Courtois 7, Azpilicueta 7, David Luiz 7, Cahill 6, Moses 6, Fabregas 8, Matic 7, Alonso 5, Pedro 8, Willian 6, Hazard 9.

Bournemouth player ratings: Boruc 7, Francis 4, Cook 5, Daniels 5, Smith 6, Gosling 5, Surman 5, Arter 6, Smith 5, Wilshere 7, King 6.

Man of the match – Eden Hazard: In Diego Costa’s absence, there were questions as to where the goals would come from for Chelsea – but they certainly didn’t miss the Spaniard today. Hazard started in the false-nine role and made it his own. The Belgian was a constant threat to the Bournemouth defence, and got his goal as a reward.
